Hello Crafty Friends

Today’s card features the Sweet Little Stockings. Although I’m a dog person, all the images in this set are super cute even the gifts and the candy canes are fabulous on their own.

I really wanted to showcase the designer series paper with this card so I decided to go for a fold that has a lot of “real estate” for adding DSP. I didn’t follow any particular tutorial or instructions for this fold I basically just pulled out a piece of cardstock and started scoring and folding. So I’m calling this fold a reverse accordion trifold – I don’t know if there is such a thing but I like what I came up with.

The fold starts with a piece of cardstock 28cm x 14.8cm, scored at 4.5cm, 14cm & 24.7cm (for my friends using imperial measurements cardstock measures 11″ x 5½” scored @ 1 ¾”, 5 ½” & 9 ¾ “).

For the DSP you will need two designs – I used the christmas lights and the reverse side with the pool party pattern.
The DSP layers are:
• 9cm x 14.4cm (you need two of these – one of each design)
• 4cm x 14.4cm
• 2.7cm x 14.4cm
• 1.7 x 14.4cm
You will also need a Basic White card insert measuring 10cm x 14.4cm.

For the belly band I used a piece of cardstock 3cm x 21cm. I never pre-score my belly bands, I prefer to gently wrap it around the closed card and pinch at the edges. You can score afterwards if you prefer the nice crisp edge that scoring gives you. Hide the join underneath the front label.
TIP: Make sure belly band is not too tight and that the recipient can easily slide it off.

Decorate the remainder of the card as your prefer. I cut the stocking from the DSP using a coordinating die and then stamped the cute little dog in Memento Tuxedo black and coloured with Stampin Blends.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.
Thanks for stopping by. Wherever you are in the world stay safe and healthy and I hope to see you here again soon.

Now go get crafty!
