Hey there crafty friends
Today I have a fun technique to share with you – the “floating strip” technique. I shared how to make this card on my facebook live this week. It’s a really fun technique and a great way to use up all those left over strips of patterned paper that we all have.

Floating strip technique using the Expressions in Ink DSP.

For this card I used the beautiful Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper and the Artistic Dies from the coordinating suite. When you have such gorgeous paper to work with then the rest is simple.

I started with a simple rectangle of Window Sheet and adhered my strips to it. You could use any shape you like or you can cut a shape using your dies, after you’ve adhered all the strips.

The intricate leaf spray is die cut from the Gold Foil. I used liquid glue to adhere it to the card but this would have been the perfect opportunity to use the Adhesives Sheets – I just didn’t think about it till afterwards lol!

I finished off with a the Hello sentiment from the Artisically Inked stamp set in Mint Macaron. The delicate gold frames from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack were the perfect addition to the card and framed the greeting just right.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope that you’ll give this technique a try.
