Hello again!  Well we are a full month into the new 2016 Annual Catalogue and how good is it!  Fabulous stamps, gorgeous papers and some incredible new dies and thinlits plus some really cool tools.

So a new catalogue means a new blog hop to show them off.   You may have started here or are joining me from the wonderfully talented Lauren Matthews.  Either way welcome and enjoy this month’s hop.

For my projects I decided to showcase the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set (pg 156) and the Playful Palette paper(pg 174) and washi tape (pg 179).  I may of snuck in the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits too!  I love that this paper features 3 of the new in-colours – Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.

Being the owner operator of two teenage boys I find lots of my gift giving these days is done in the form of gift cards – who knows what to buy teenage boys right!  So first up is a neat little double pocket pouch perfect for gift cards and a simple note.  I first saw this project featured on Dawn Olchefske’s blog last year and I’ve been making them ever since.  You can find her post and instructions here.

For my second project I’ve made a card to go with the gift card.  I give lots of cards in person these days so the Mini Treat bags make perfect envelopes for a single layer notecard.   I wanted to add some pattern and texture to the notecard without adding too much bulk and what better way to do that than with Washi tape.  Did I already tell you how muck I love the range of colours featured in the Playful Palette paper stack.

All the sentiments from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set (pg 159) work just as well for cards as they do for gift giving and packaging.  I’ve added the swirly die from the Swirly Scribbles thinlits (pg 196) cut from Basic Black cardstock as a highlight to the Happy Day sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you found something to spark your creative mojo.  Please leave me a comment I’d love to hear what you think.  Make sure you hop on over to the fabulous Liv Ingle I’m sure she has something super in store for you.
