Welcome to another installment of the Inkreators Blog Hop.  This month we are featuring Gift Packaging, just in time for all those Christmas presents.  I especially love to create something special for those little gifts which without the extra fluffing might appear ordinary.

You may have already hopped from the super talented Lauren Matthews at Love Life Lauren who no doubt had something extra special to share with you today.  If you’ve started here then welcome I hope you enjoy the projects I have for you today and are inspired to add that little bit extra when gift giving on those special occasions.  Don’t forget to hop all the way around just click on the button at the bottom of this post.

I decided to go with a 3 piece ensemble with a ‘Kraft’ feel and using the lovely vintage Home for Christmas designer series paper.

I love the Petite Cafe bags they work perfectly for sweet treats  – both of the chocolate and the cookie variety.  They are the ideal blank slate to be dressed up with stamps, pretty paper or washi and ribbon.

If you’re anything like me you will have saved lots of the brown packing paper that comes in the box with your Stampin’ Up! order.  With a bit of dressing up it makes perfect wrapping paper for large and small gifts.  I’ve stamped this piece using the small snowflake grouping stamp from the Wonderland set, wrapped a belly band of the Home for Christmas dsp around and tied it with some ribbon.

The third project in my ensemble is a gift card holder.  Whilst I do love to pick a special present for family and friends I often find myself time poor these days.  This usually results in me resorting to gift cards.  Bujt that doesn’t mean you can’t dress them up and add your own twist to make them special.  I have to thank the lovely Claire Daly over at Art with Heart for this inspiration for this little beauty.  You can get three out of a single piece of A4 cardstock and the opportunities for embellishment are endless.
