It’s October! Can you believe it? I’ve been so busy this last month I’ve no idea where the time has gone. I wish I could say that it’s all been stamping but sadly not. But I did find time to put together some projects for this month’s Inkreators Blog Hop.
If you’ve arrived from Love Life Lauren then you would have already seen her beautiful work using the Stampin’ Reward set Best Thoughts – weren’t they just gorgeous. If you’ve started the Hop here then welcome and I hope you see something that gets your creative mojo going.
I don’t have a lot of hostess sets -maybe it’s because they’re at the back of the catalogue which means I’ve already blown my budget by the time I get there lol! So many beautiful Stampin’ Up! products it’s hard to stay on budget. But when I saw this beautiful Stampin’ Rewards set Happy Birthday Everyone I just knew I had to have it. It’s such a versatile stamp set with lots of coordinating sentiments perfect for everyone.
I’ll be celebrating birthdays with some some wonderful women over the next few weeks so the “to an amazing woman” sentiment was perfect for this gift card holder.
Here’s a view of what the card inside looks like. I’ve stapled a strip of the Watermelon Wonder designer series paper across the bottom to form a small pocket for my gift card. The fancy little Cucumber Crush scroll underneath the pocket is from the Tin of Cards set.
These sentiments work perfectly on their own or paired with the large Happy Birthday image. Here’s one paired with the “Thanks” from the Hello You Thinlits and the gorgeous butterfly from the Butterlies Thinlits. I’ve been seeing a lot of cards lately with backgrounds using the watercolour wash technique. If you’ve never done one before you should give it a go. It’s very simple and you’re only limited by your imagination. I just used the one colour here – Watermelon Wonder – but you can use as many or as few as you like.
You can find a complete list of supplies at the bottom of this post.
So there you have it. I hope you enjoyed my creations and I look forward to seeing you back next month when will be getting into some “Gift Packaging” just in time for Christmas. Next stop on the hop is Laura. Enjoy xx
Happy Stamping

Beautiful projects Michelle. That Watermelon Wonder colour is just stunning. I hadn’t taken much notice of that stamp set but it certainly has my attention now! Thanks!
