Welcome to the ESAD Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop in celebration of the new Holiday Catalogue released on 1st September and it’s jammed packed with awesomeness (is that even a word). We have 25 amazing designers on the hop so settle yourself down for a feast of projects dedicated to the Holidays. You may be starting here or have hopped from Keryn over at Keryns Cards it doesn’t matter, just follow the links at the bottom of each post to hop to the next blog.
I’ve decided to showcase the sweet little stamp set Joyous Celebrations and the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper for you today. I love this little stamp set. It’s so versatile with images that work really well on cards and tags and the oval frame fits perfectly with the extra large oval punch or the brand new Holiday Frame embossing folder.
I went with a set of tags and a matching box to store them in for this project. These would make perfect gifts to have on hand at Christmas when you need a little something.
Here’s a close-up of the box.
The box is super easy to make. Decide on the finished size (length and width) of your box and before you cut your cardstock add 1″ on all four sides. Score that 1″ on all sides, you should now have a small box in each corner of the cardstock. Snip the two outside scorelines, on the longside of your cardstock, but only until they meet the intersecting scoreline. Fold on all scorelines, adhere the corner flaps and your box base is complete. The sleeve is a piece of patterned paper folded around the box base and adhere at the back. Clear as mud right?
I used the Two Tags die for the base and decorated it with the cute little ornament paper from the Snow Festival series. All the stamping was done inside the oval frame using various stamps from the Joyous Celebrations set and colours that compliment the patterned paper. Don’t you love how easy that is with Stampin’ Up! products. I really like these three colours together, cherry cobbler, baja breeze and gumball green. I finished off the tag with some of the new gumball green stitched satin ribbon which is very soft and pliable, great for tying bows.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you’re enjoying what’s just a small taste of the fantastic products available in this years Holiday Catalogue. If you don’t already have a copy and would like one please contact me and I’ll pop one in the mail for you. Now it’s time for you to move on to Christies Creative Corner for some more inspiration. I’m sure Christie has something awesome in store for you. If you happen to get lost along the way just pop back here and rejoin the hop from the list below.
