I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year.  I know it seems a long time ago now but I’ve been off for a couple of months spending some quality time with family and friends.  It’s been a busy time but now I’m back at work and the kids are back at school and it’s time to kick off again for 2012.

I was really excited to start the year off with a new Stamp Club group – well kinda new, it was made up of some of my regular girls and some new ones.  Not all the girls could make it on our first meeting, such a shame but we had a great night anyway.  I thought I would share with you the projects we made on the night.

We used the Sale-a-bration stamp set Fresh Vintage as well as the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.  These were my samples but the girls chose there own colours and papers on the night.  I am always amazed at how different projects can look just by changing the papers, I wish I had taken photos of them all so you could see for yourself.

The card is a fold called a “Double Dutch” fold and has these cute little doors that open up at the bottom.  I suppose their real purpose is to help your card stand up but they remind me of small “barn doors”.

I used  Top Note die for the gift card holder and cut it on the fold to make a pocket to slip the card inside.  This is a really nice way to jazz up your packaging for gift cards and makes a nice alternative to a regular envelope.  You will have to excuse the gift card in the sample, I “borrowed” it from my youngest son for demonstration purposes.  I’ve already spent all the nice ones I got for Christmas but I always forget to keep the card.

I have lots more Sale-a-bration projects to show you so make sure you come back.

Happy Stamping
