I decided this week that I should try to work some more with colours from the ‘bold brights’ range, I find them incredibly difficult and despite the title of this post they do not ‘inspire’ me.
So I did some blog hopping and would you believe it, Kristina Werner’s colour inspiraion this week had all the required elements. Not only were there ‘bold brights’ but ones I would never have chosen to work with myself – Real Red, Pumpkin Pie (now didn’t your mother tell you never to wear red and orange together), So Saffron, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise. What a mixed bundle.
I decided to keep the stamping simple, the colours were going to be difficult enough. But even with the barest of stamping this card was still a challenge for me.
The So Saffron Designer Paper is from this month’s Palette o’ Prints promotion from Stampin’ Up! – at least that choice was easy cos this paper is so yummy and the sentiment is from ‘Occassional Greetings’
I can’t say I’m entirely happy with the result but practice makes perfect, that is what they say……isn’t it?. Oh I hope so. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think (I need more practice don’t I).
well I love it .
I think you’ve done a fantastic job Michelle – and so far out of your comfort zone too!!
