Well I’m back from convention – yes I know it was nearly two weeks ago – but I have been so busy with classes, swaps and just life in general that I haven’t had time to post. Convention was an absolute blast, what a better way to spend the weekend than with a few hundred like minded women (and a couple of men too) doing the stuff that you love – stamping. I was blown away by the sheer enthusiasm and talent of so many of the girls and it was nice to meet people face to face that I had only previously known on-line.
As some of you know I was a little nervous about participating in swaps – would anyone want to swap with me, would my cards be good enough – but you know this was one of the highlights. It’s such a mad rush with everyone exchanging their cards and ooohing and ahhhing over the resulting stash. I swapped all of the 75 cards I made and came home with a booty of inspiration that will surely last me ages.
I have lots to share with everyone over the next few weeks. I learnt so much and was genuinely inspired and motivated to share my passion of stamping and Stampin’ Up! with as many people as I can. They are truly a wonderful company. The are also extremely generous, here are some of the goodies we received at registration on day one:
I also took a trip to Momento Mall and treated myself to some of the merchandise only available at Convention. I got a nifty little black bag – stamping equivalent of the “little black dress” which is a perfect size and has a window for your mini catalogues, a gorgeous polo shirt and the must have thermo mug to keep your coffee hot while you’re busy stamping. I don’t know about you but I throw away so many cups of coffee that have gone cold because I was too caught up in the creative process to remember to drink them.
