Have you noticed the older you get the faster time seems to go. I remember as a child a week seemed like forever – long lazy days stretching in front of you with nothing much to do except play. Now they race by in a blur of kinder duty, school drop offs and pick-ups, housework (yuck) etc etc etc…. Where’s the time to play, to stamp, to scrapbook, to read or to just relax.
The last two weeks have just flown by. What with our trip to Adelaide with Matt’s work and then last weekend spent in Ballarat with my dear friend Kerri and her hubby I seem to have got so behind with everything, including posting to my blog.
I promised myself when I started this blogging thing that I wouldn’t be one of those people who started with a rush then quickly faded to nothing (or almost nothing). Now here we are not even two months later and I’m quickly becoming one of “those people”. So here I am promising again that I will post regularly. Hmmmmmm we’ll see!
Anyway back to my weekend in Ballarat or Miners Rest to be precise. I had a great time stamping with my friend Kerri. No sooner had I arrived there with Matt and kids in tow then I was off to the stamping room (or the BatCave as Matt refers to it) and I pretty much stayed there most of the weekend. Appearing only to eat and drink (wine mostly). Have to say though it was heaven – lots of stamps and stuff to play with plus the inspiration of a truly gifted stamper and friend.
We worked on some of our swaps for convention coming up in April. Ohhhh can’t wait. Spent lots of time speculating over what will be in the new catty in April then whining about having to wait and generally having a good ol time.
Here is one of the cards I made for the convention swap. I have to say that I’m not quite sure about it yet and it may not make the first cut, maybe it will grow on me. More than likely it will be the one because it’s the night before convention and I haven’t had the time for anything else.
